is it just me? why would they even add a keyboard track that is impossible to keep in bpm unless you use a sequencer to trigger it (which at that point, it doesn't matter because you already have a sequencer that's thousands of times more powerful)? i just don't get it at all. i really only see the sequencers usefulness in testing out sounds and ideas, but it's pretty limited at that, and it's useless for any form of recording. unless your song is at 40 bpm then that kinda sucks, unless you're ok with having the same repeating 2 seconds of sequence for the entire song. really, it would be perfect if it worked, because having a 16 step pattern that you can move means you can have complex leads and basses, but without transposing you have 16 steps and that's it. What about the sequencer isn't useless? 16 monophonic steps is absolute trash when you don't have sequence transposing. so really audio sync is the most useful, but even then it still sucks. it speeding up to catch up to audio sync. I've tried midi sync, still has the sucky retriggering problem, but with it also falling out of a steady bpm each retrigger vs. Thank you so much for helping, i have no idea how there isn't already a solution online! why wouldn't they have an option to only play the new transposed sequence on the next clock? Is it the same for everyone else? i can't stand it always being off beat or retriggering instantly. i don't use daws or anything, so i'm not looking for solutions that involve just using the computer. is this only me? i feel like i'm going insane, this almost renders the mono useless in my setup. and, to add, there's no options to continue at the same point in the sequence as you were when you transposed, so it always resets to 0 and sounds quite strange and not very good. how has nobody addressed this yet?) i tried the sync in port and while that actually keeps it in sync to a bpm, it still instantly retriggers and that means unless you hit the keys perfectly you get part of the other note and some weird speeding up / slowing down to get back to the pulse bpm. ![]() there is no options to fix this from what i've searched (and i've searched everywhere. More details are in the sections below, but the feature that really stands from other modern monosynths is the monologue’s ability to select from 32 microtuning and scale modes, which include Werckmeister and Kirnberger temperaments as well as 12 user-editable options. instead, it always retriggers instantly, which means that it will never stay in beat. On the Monologue, this menu accesses a wide range of parameters that simply wouldn’t fit on its front panel. So, when i saw that this synth had key triggering, i thought that it would stay synced, like '80s octave basses, and that when i pressed a new key to transpose the sequencer, that it would transpose on the next bpm clock.
